Aimed to irrigate the cultivated area of Lao river valley, the scheme encompasses a 2,000 Ha area, parcelled out in two lots.
The project envisaged a 2 m3/s discharge diversion from Lao river (Photos 1, 2), together with the distribution system plan provision. Originating from Lao river the at an altitude of 46,5 m a.s.l. diversion canal (Photo 2) feeds the two conduction canals winding on both the river banks. A piped network was constructed for the irrigation of the 700 Ha area of Abbatemarco basin.
Studio L. de Vito delivered both the detailed design and the water management plan (Photo 4) together with the work supervision.
